Nico Brooks · Emerging Designer + Engineer

I design and build hardware, firmware, and digital experiences.

This is where I share what I've built, how I think, and what I'm headed toward next.

About

I’m Nico Brooks

I build wearable and physical products where firmware, hardware, and interface design need to feel seamless. I care about the details, from clean sensor data to the way a product feels in your hand.

I'm hands-on across prototyping, mechanics, electronics, and UX, so I can move a concept from sketch to tested prototype without losing the story along the way.

What I focus on

  • • Ergonomic hardware, motion systems, and tactile feel
  • • Control logic, sensing, and reliable embedded behavior
  • • Prototyping with CAD, 3D printing, and fabrication
  • • UI details that make hardware feel easy to use

How I work

I start by testing assumptions with fast prototypes, then iterate toward a product that is stable, intentional, and well-documented.
