Chakra Meditation Booth

I handled the electrical design and 3D modeling for the logic, audio, and control systems in this immersive art installation.

Quick overview In plain language

What it does

An immersive art installation by Tara de la Garza, combining colored lighting and guided meditation in a space visitors can sit inside.

My contribution

I designed the electronics and modeled how the lighting, audio, and control systems fit into the structure.

Where it stands

The installation is completed. This page shows the artwork and the engineering contribution behind it.

Project

Chakra Meditation Booth is a 2026 installation by artist Tara de la Garza. The 10 × 10 ft work combines LED lighting, guided meditation, and reclaimed materials including single-use plastic, recycled cotton, and recycled pallet wood.

My role

I was responsible for the electrical design and 3D modeling of the installation's logic, audio, and control systems. The work covered both the electronic architecture and its physical integration into the structure.

Collaboration

The electronics were designed to support the visitor experience while remaining visually secondary to Tara's artwork and material choices.
