The direction
One place for notes, tasks, and quick capture, with intelligence that could run on the phone when practical. The hope was less time spent maintaining a system, and more help deciding what to do next, without handing everyday notes to a server by default.

CloudKit only when the user opts in.
What is changing
The app is getting narrower and more deliberate: local storage first, optional sync, and AI that works with private context instead of turning the whole product into a backend dependency.
